Just some posters thrown together of late, all black and white quotes were from The Buddha.
Below is a project I’m working on in my spare time. This is a portrait of the legendary Miles Davis, arguably on the most influential jazz musicians the world has ever know. You know that old stereotype of jazz musicians being these super cool, deep voiced black men with a trumpet saying stuff like, “yeah man!”? Well all of those stereotypes were modeled off of this guy, Playboy magazine dubbed him the “Coolest Man Ever” in 1965. I am recreating the below artwork into a stencil, painted onto chipboard that i want to hang above the honky tonk piano in my flat, rather apt i feel.
This is the third artwork of Miles Davis I am creating, it is part of an ongoing series entitled, Kind of Blue, named after, in my opinion, the greatest jazz album ever.
Having great fun with these guys. A brilliant band, look out for them, you don’t find bands that pump out such an amazing, homegrown sound that just commands the stage like these guys.
Below is a poster we’ve been using for them for the past few months. I’ve been involved with these guys since the start and only now are they really starting to define and figure out exactly who they are and what they’re about so they’re a bit of a work in progress. Currently working on the artwork for a whole lineup of shows they’ll be doing in Cape Town and the artwork for their upcoming debut album!
Because of the work we did for Raisinsec, a client got hold of us and set us the brief of re-branding the entire range of liqours provides by Bulldog Distillers.
Atmospheric Vodka is unique due to the method in which the water in the vodka is extracted directly from the air around us using unique “dew catching” technology.
Below is some examples of the work we have done for them so far, including logo design.
An example of the Atmospheric product posters that will be supplied to distributors and used for promotional purposes.
2 Pull-up banners we did for an expo.
This is a poster I did for a friends’ band. They were called Juice, then changed their name to Deuce, then being a bunch of musicians they changed their name again to Zenzi then they changed it again to The Sir Walrus Band and have presently stuck to it (currently sorting out their branding etc, to be uploaded soon). Definitely a band to look out for, they’ve just finished putting together an EP, soon to be available, easily in my top ten of Greatest Music Ever!
